Hydrophilic films
Kemafoil® hydrophilic films are polyester films used in the manufacturing of biosensor strips.
Kemafoil® hydrophilic films improve the wicking of biological fluids along the capillary channel till the reaction point on the strip, and guarantee ooze-free slitting. Recently Coveme has introduced Kemafoil®ECO
films for the biosensors market, made with 70% recycled PET (rPET).
The Kemafoil®ECO with 70% rPET guarantee the same performance as the standard product. The 70% of rPET comes from a recycling process in which post-consumer waste (plastic bottles, food trays, etc.) is recycled for the production of a rPET that has mechanical and physical properties comparable to those of virgin PET.

All hydrophilic films can be heat stabilized.
Films are suitable for roll-to-roll and sheet-to-sheet production systems.
