The special chemical treatment developed by Coveme changes permanently the surface tension of PET, making this plastic film an ideal support to be coated with water, solvent and hot melt based adhesive masses and systems, and also for resins and abrasive coatings. Coveme's product range includes also films that are treated chemically and additionally heat stabilized and coated in-line with specific coatings that make them suitable as a support for photopolymer plates, whereas one of the latest product developments are highly transparent films with anti-fog, anti-scratch and anti-fingerprint properties for the produtcion of personal protection devices like faceshields.
The physical, chemical and mechanical properties of bi-oriented polyester film, combined with technologies developed by Coveme, are ideal conditions for its use in the manufacturing of protection devices, self-adhesive and mounting tapes, abrasives disks and tapes, photopolymeric printing plates and jointing strips for synthetic grass panels.
